Good Shoe, But?

We’ve looked for a good turf shoe for Officiating football for a long time. Over the years we’ve worn Spot Built, Nike, Adidas, and we found these New Balance a couple of years back. We want comfort because we literally spend 10-20 hours a week standing and running in these shoes. They have been excellent shoes but are narrow at the forefoot. That’s the only reason for not giving them 5 Stars. They have great grip on turf even in the rain. For the most part the insole is good but could be improved. They are easy to clean and break in pretty easy. I would definitely buy this shoe in wide if you are older. It does have a narrow fit designed for younger athletes.

Good Shoe - Prepare For A Break-in Period

Good shoe. The tred is solid for turf - wet or dry. Decent bounce and recovery on the heel strike and toe box. The shoes fit to size and width. Typical New Balance fit. What I didn't expect, compared to similar New Balance Turf Shoes (same size/width) was the break-in period for these. The shoes took a couple afternoon wearings, and stretcher shoe trees, to make them comfortable. But now they're great.
