Best Version Yet!

I’ve been using the NB 1080s for many years in my shoe rotation and it has always been a very good, comfortable, and reliable daily runner - the fresh foam soaking up the miles with ease, offering lots of cushioning whilst still feeling reasonably light and quick compared to most other daily runners. When I first saw v15 I was concerned as they looked to have gone through a significant redesign, and there was no mention of any fresh foam. Well, I have to say these have exceeded my expectations and I think they are the best version yet! The new cushioning is super light and feels much more bouncy and responsive - almost giving you a pop off the ground like a carbon shoe, and they feel much lighter and faster than previous versions. They are a pleasure to run in, and (for me) have greatly reduced the difference I feel when switching between speed work in carbon shoes and steady/EZ miles in non carbon shoes. In fact I can’t quite believe there is not a carbon plate in there! Will be stocking up on these!

Great for running with sore feet, however sizing is quite large and I will probably go a size down on next pair. Not great for HIT training, too soft for box jumps, burpees etc.

Too Narrow

Too narrow for a shoe that is supposed to be a 4E width. Not in line with other brands. I compared to another pair of 2E width shoes and these were narrower by a considerable amount. If you have wide feet it may be a concern for you too.

The 14’s were much better. I retuned my 15’s. Very disappointed they completely changed the 1080’s.
