Comfortable With A Major Problem

These are the best feeling shoes I have ever worn. . The do have one MAJOR problem. The black version has a thin black film over a while sole. That thin black film flakes off in just a couple weeks of normal wear. I am on my second warranty replacement and they have all done the same thing. Come on New Balance surely you can do better.

Wide Is Too Wide.

I have worn New Balance for many years (mostly 990 and 993) and have always ordered wide. This shoe naturally has a wide toe box and had I been aware of that I wouldn't have ordered wide. I don't see anything in the description that says it has a wider toe box. Wish it did. I wore them once to see if they would be okay but they are too loose. Would like to exchange for normal width but since I wore them once.....

Comfortable And Lasts Longer Than Others

About a year ago I decided to give a few other brands a try. They all either had tread that wore out quickly or lost their cushion quickly. The 1080 New Balance shoes are the best I've had for both. At my age those 2 issues can cause problems for me so I'm just sticking with these from now on.

Great New Balance Shoes

This is my go to brand. Dicks is my go to store. I love both.

Best Purchase

One of the best shoe ever, no shoe compares this one, the level of comfort it gives is top notch.

Extra Wide, Comfortable And Good For Hard Surfaces

These are one of few brands that actually have extra wide shoes that are really wide. The shock absorption works great for asfalt and harder trails, on gravel they get a bit too bouncy. Overall very good comfort and I like the design of the tounge of the shoe, it sort of shapes around the upper part of the foot. I recommend to medium to long distance runners in a city environment.

Expensive Napkins

The FF1080 v15 feel great and are a solid iteration in this ongoing shoe line. Unfortunately, the white sole and white insole quickly make this purchase look old and dirty, almost like a single use napkin.

New Balance Runner For 20 Years

I've been a dedicated New Balance user for 20 years and the 1080 shoe gets better all of the time. The cushioning has kept me from having foot or knee issues.

Recommend For Amputees

My husband is a below the knee amputee. Finding comfortable shoes is very difficult. He started out with Nike, but then they discontinued his style and they narrowed the toe box on all their shoes, so he couldn’t wear them. Then he switched to New Balance, and wore them for 5 years, but his style was discontinued, so he then switched to Hoka. Then again, discontinued his style shoe. So I read that some amputees were recommending the new rocker bottom New Balance so he tried them. They are even better than the old Hoka’s. A great fit. Improved his gait. Only issue is like the Hoka’s, they are so costly. Difficult for a retiree to afford.

Very Comfortable, But The Tongue Keeps Retreating

While these are incredibly comfortable shoes, I have some trouble with the tongue always retreating back into the shoe. I always have to keep pulling it back out every time I put them on.

1080 V15 Just Not What The V13 Or V14 Was

This is my third or forth time buying the 1080’s. I have a flat foot and these sneakers have satisfied that issue. I just purchased the v15 a week and a half ago and couldn’t be more disappointed. I feel like the width of these shoes have substantially changed. It’s like my left foot rolls inward. I purchased a size 12 and d width which is the normal size I get. I can’t understand what has changed but really disappointed. Would love to talk to someone how to handle this.
