The foot sole is not very wide for someone with flat feet. I was hoping it would and have the necessary space for inserts. Nice shoe - that runs small and narrow. If you have a wide foot, think about going in a different direction. I normally wear an 11.5 wide, I purchased a sized 12 thinking that I could get them to loosen up. Well, after about 10 games - they are still snug. I like the shoe and may roll dice with a 12.5 to see how that goes.
