The 9060 is a new expression of the refined style and innovation-led design that have made the 99X series home to some of the most iconic models in New Balance history. The 9060 reinterprets familiar elements sourced from classic 99X models with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the Y2K era. Sway bars, taken from the 990, are expanded and utilized throughout the entire upper for a sense of visible motion, while wavy lines and scaled up proportions on a sculpted pod midsole place an exaggerated emphasis on the familiar cushioning platforms of ABZORB and SBS.

New Balance 9060

Extremely frustrating experience at Dick’s Sporting Goods. I went in to purchase a pair of New Balance 9060s for my son after checking the app, which clearly showed the shoes were in stock in a men’s size 7. An employee told me they only carried them starting at a men’s size 8 and that I would need to buy a boys size 7 instead. I agreed and picked out the “Castle” colorway. The employee scanned the shoes and went to the back to get them, then disappeared for about 10 minutes. I finally asked another employee for help, and after another 5 minutes he came back and told me they couldn’t find the shoes. At that point I left irritated because it felt like a complete waste of time and nobody seemed to know what was going on. The worst part? I sat in my car, placed an online order for the exact same shoes from the same store, and within 10 minutes got a notification saying they were ready for pickup. So clearly the shoes were there the entire time. Very poor communication, lack of product knowledge, and a frustrating customer service experience overall.

Great Quality

I’ve been wearing the New Balance 9060s, and they’ve quickly become a go to for me. The design is chunky and a bit futuristic but still has that classic New Balance vibe so they stand out without being too crazy. Comfort is the biggest win. They’re super cushioned and easy to wear all day without your feet getting tired. I wear a size 8 but 7.5 fits perfect, so I'd say they run a little big. They’re not the lightest shoe and definitely more lifestyle than performance, but overall, they look great, feel great, and go with a lot of outfits. Solid pick if you want something stylish and comfortable.

Overall shoe has good support but Inserts needed to be replaced due to slipping. i’d only recommend if you’re willing to spend an extra $60 to buy a good pair of inserts.

Looks Chunky And Roomy But The Sneaker Runs Narrow

Abzorb is my favorite New Balance cushion. I wish they would have kept it in some of their running shoes but they didn’t. I bought a pair of Lifestyle 9060s (unisex sneaker) because of the Abzorb cushion. The shoe looked chunky and the width looked roomy – on the outside. The cushion still felt amazing, but the Width which is listed as a D (Standard width for Men, Wide width for women) is exceptionally narrow. I took the insole out to compare it to a beat up pair of New Balance running shoes (Abzorb cushion), and a newer pair of New Balance running shoes (Fresh Foam cushion - not a fan of the Fresh Foam…) . There was a big difference... I thought I would just wear the 9060s for short walks/errands because I still preferred the Abzorb, but my feet and toes said enough is enough… Ended up donating the shoes to Goodwill.
