very comfortable from the first moment. Consistent sizing, I know what I will get.

Cheaper Parts
Not as nice as v5 and those before it. It appears they've cheapened materials. The insole use to be a big selling point but appears to have changed. No worries, it's just as expensive as before.

V6 Ruined The 990 Line For Me
After nearly 20 years of wearing 990s as my primary shoe, the V6 has forced me to shop elsewhere. As someone with flat feet, the 990 line has been my go-to since 2006—until now. The V6 causes significant foot and ankle pain. I developed persistent discomfort that I couldn't identify until I stopped wearing them—the new design was the culprit. The problem: the V6 feels deceptively cushy at first, but that softness wears out quickly. Once the top layer compresses, you feel a painful structure underneath. The last two pairs caused discomfort just wearing them around the house during try-on. The quality doesn't match previous versions. I have a pair of V5s that are 4+ years old and holding up better than my 2-year-old V6s. I've purchased four pairs of V6 hoping each would be different—I'm returning two, and the other two are past the return window and essentially unwearable. For anyone with flat feet or who relied on the stability of previous 990 versions: avoid the V6 or stick with V5 if you can still find them.

Too Small
Had to return these and should be getting my refund because they were too narrow.
