The New Balance Made In The USA Line and the 99X series has always delivered excellent quality, superior craftsmanship and legendary design—offering extraordinary comfort and unparalleled reliability to both the general consumer and sneaker enthusiasts alike. In my experience, the 990v6 fits adequately in both my true to size and a half size down, as some reviewers suggest. My TTS runs a little longer than I prefer, but are still quite wearable with no heel slip and are very roomy in the toe box. However, I like a more secure fit and opt for a half size down. They are snug, but not too tight to start, still plenty of room in the toe box, and break in nicely in a short amount of time with consistent wear. Overall, the 990v6 is a remarkable and versatile sneaker perfect for casual wear, light running and moderate strength training. The tried and true ENCAP midsole cushioning combined with the revolutionary FuelCell foam—delivers a state of the art and unparalleled level of comfort, performance and stability.

V5 Firs Better Than V6

My 10th pair of 990's. V5 heel fits much better than V6 as well as the tongue is more comfortable. Bring back the taller heel box please.
