Great Fit.

I wear a size 14B in New Balance shoes. The 990v6 in Grey fit great and are very comfortable. My only wish is that the same shoe in partial black and all black would be available in the same size.

“Made In U.s.a.”

New Balance has built a lot of clout around being the last big sneaker company still making shoes in the United States. That reputation matters — people like me buy into the brand because we want to support American jobs, American factories, and American craftsmanship. But when I looked closer at the 990v6, I felt more let down than proud. The shoe is advertised as “Made in USA,” but the fine print says it’s only about 70% domestic value. That means almost a third of the materials and components are imported — and customers aren’t even told which ones. That’s not the kind of transparency I expect from a company that has built its image on patriotism and heritage. Instead, it feels like New Balance is leaning on the clout of the label without delivering the full promise. I didn’t want to settle for “mostly American made” — I wanted to buy something I could wear with pride, knowing it was built start to finish right here. New Balance, if you’re going to wave the flag and sell the story of Made in USA, then back it up. Give us the breakdown of what’s really American made. Better yet, push to make a sneaker that’s 100% American — because plenty of us would gladly pay for it. Until then, I can’t honestly say I feel like a proud American when I lace these up.

Quality Decline

I’ve been a NB buyer for years. The last few pair have been really poor quality. Not worth the money any longer. Very sad.
