For years, I’ve trusted New Balance to protect my feet and back with their 990 sneakers, arguably the greatest shoes ever made. With every new version, I’ve noticed slight improvements in comfort, stability, or sturdiness, except for the 990 v6. It’s taller and slimmer than usual, not true to size, and I feel pressure on my arch while standing. The shoes’ construction is completely different from all previous 990 versions. They feel cheaper and look sportier than previous versions. It’s uncomfortable to wear them; I feel pressure on my heels and arch, and they make strange squeaking sounds while walking! These are the worst shoes I’ve ever purchased. They’re not worthy of the 990 name! I highly advise you to check them out in person before ordering, as they’re not as classy and comfortable as the v5, v4, or previous 990 versions.
