Great Except For The Soles.
Excellent fit, very sturdy uppers, I've bought many pairs. The problem, and it's a big one, is the thin sole. These shoes wear out way too fast, in about a year. I know this is planned obsolescence, but it's still unfair, considering the high cost of 990v6 model. If the soles could be made to last longer (and of course they could), New Balance would have designed the perfect running/walking shoe.

990 Review: Overall 9/10 Shoe, Great Daily Wear.
Great comfort, not as good as 9060 though. However this shoe makes up for it with the better athletic performance.

Wanted To Love Them.
I wear the 990 exclusively. I was so excited to see additional colors. Could not wait to get them. Unfortunately they are going back. The heel (sole) is slightly narrower than other 990 and it is much squishier especially outside heel. This increases my chances of rolling my ankle. I’m super bummed. Since all I wear is the 990 I would love other colors than navy, grey, and black.
