Great For Walking, Just Okay For Running
Purchased this shoe with intentions to use it as a recovery run/slow run shoe and while I think the foam is good and the quality of this shoe is also excellent, I didn't enjoy the ride or fit of the shoe. I wear a 10.5 and purchased the 10.5 2E (Wide) like I usually do for New Balance and the upper just has way too much volume, on the flip side the 10.5 D (Standard) feels way like there is no room in shoe. It feels a little too clunky for running, and I found the outsole to not hold up as well as other New Balance shoes. I generally use this now as a walking shoe with thicker socks and it works really well for that. The laces are also quite long after you use them for awhile, maybe too stretchy. I think this shoe is good for lifestyle uses and excellent for long days of walking around or working, but I think the Rebel is a much better shoe if you're looking for running performance; a more locked in upper, lighter shoe, and better grip.
