Serious runner here, and New Balance, you ruined this great shoe. The 860v13 was already far tall enough, but now the stack height is just ridiculous. The previous version's sole was firmer, providing much better support and stability, and now, it feels squishy and like I'm sinking in with every step. The v13 sole gave proper spring back into each step, allowing you to effortlessly move forward through your gait, and run long distances without tiring quickly. Yet now with the v14, it's no different that the 880v15, or any other maximalist shoe... There's no return energy, and if feels like you're running in soft sand, requiring a lot more effort to move forward, and exhausting your energy quickly. With the v13, the stability was there, and making a turn felt easy. Yet now, with the v14, your foot slides to the outside, leaving you feeling the shoe rolling as the sole deforms and folds under the force and weight. The stability is gone. New Balance, you ruined what was a winning product, and worse, you don't even make the old version anymore, and I can't even find them anywhere anymore.
