I do like several of the new colors - okay, there, I was positive about something. Beyond that, there's little for me to like about this latest version. The quality seems okay but the overall design simply doesn't work for me. The midsole is now aesthetically huge and not broken up by different color schemes. Not only does the sole sit noticeably higher than other versions, it also has a pronounced curve that provides the feeling that your toes are going to go crashing through the toebox on push-off and also makes it hard for me to stand motionless. My foot does stay securely in the shoe but it's that perception that ultimately had me say "no" to this version. The only time I come close to landing on my heel and rocking forward would be on steep declines and that seems like what this shoe must be designed for, or, at least for someone who does more walking than actual running. Oh, they also seem to be narrower through the ball of the foot into the arch. Fortunately, I have 3 pairs of older versions that are still serviceable, but at some point I'll need replacements that work for flat feet and a neutral gait and these won't be it.
