Comfortable W/ A Tacky Sole
Good comfort. More responsive than the Trail More (which I loved). I usually order a wide, but these are right on the border of not needing wides if you usually order them. Taking a little while to dial in the lacing to keep from bumping my toes on the big downhills. Overall, would recommend.

Great Trail Shoe/hiker!
I have two pair of hierros, one Gortex and one w/o. I wear the non-Gortex almost everyday and it has held up very well over 1 year and going strong ( plenty of bounce left, contrary to another review I read). I train mostly on wooded trails, hiking, easy runs, Nordic Hill bounding, and plyometrics. The Gortex version is a mid that I use mostly for hiking in fairly rocky terrain and it has held up well over two years. I recently purchased the Gortex low v9 and it has excellent cushion and stability. The Gortex versions always stay dry!

Built For The Long Haul
I’m on my second pair of Hierro V9s and they’ve earned a permanent spot in my rotation. The fit is comfortable straight out of the box, the cushioning handles rocky trails without feeling mushy, and the outsole grip is confidence-inspiring on loose and uneven terrain. They’re protective enough for technical stuff but still light enough that they don’t feel like bricks on easier runs. If you’re after a versatile trail shoe that just works, these are hard to beat.

Great Shoe
Bought these recently and they have been quite nice to run in. I just should of bought the 9's and not the 8.5's.
