Great For Those With Orthotics
This is my first New Balance shoe and I love the Fresh Foam X Hierro v9. I tried it in store and it immediately felt so comfortable in it. I have very flat feet and usually need ankle height shoes to held stabilize my feet. I often need to remove the included insole to be able to wear the shoe. With this shoe, I kept the included insole and put my half-length orthotics under it. The mid-sole is super foamy and absorbs a lot of impact. It takes a bit to get used to it as you walk a bit higher than other shoes and when walking fast you feel a big of the power in your step being absorbed by the soles. However, once you get used to it, its really comfy. I bought a regular Fresh Foam X 880 v15 for wearing all day and kept the Hierro for outside walk. Highly recommended.

Not As Good As The Past.
I had been through multiple pairs of Fresh Foam X More Trail shoes and loved the all day comfort. The new version is more stable, but lost nearly all the comfort of the old design. I want the More in my Fresh Foams! Ha!

Super comfy cushioning and a great fit from heel to the ball but like most modern shoe designs the toes are a little squished.

New Design Fail
Walked though a few pairs each of v7 and v8 and loved then but the v9 is changed and it collapses inward. I do pronate but the new construction doesn't stand up to it all. I've had two pairs and both haven't lasted 80k before being unusable.
