My spouse selected New Balance footwear due to the wide toe box. Unfortunately, it appears that NB has altered their manufacturing process, as the XL wide shoes ordered are significantly narrow. When compared to a previous pair we purchased, the difference is substantial; they are not even close in width. I am very disappointed with the expenditure, as I am compelled to manually try and widen them myself, given that this was the widest size available for purchase.

A Speedgoat Killer!

This shoe is fantastic. Great cushioning and traction. Hoka has been dropping the ball in high cushion trail shoes so this is definitely a Speedgoat killer! It's a little wide for my foot, even in the standard width, but most runners will appreciate the extra room.
