Disappointed - Ankle Pain From Stiff Collar
Was really excited about these shoes after my first run and almost bought another pair. I'm glad I didn't since by my third long trail run in them I had some of the worst pain I've ever experienced in a running shoe due to the sides of the shoe digging into the outside sides of my ankles. After more than a decade of distance running including multiple ultras, I've never experienced pain from a shoe like this and I'm hesitant to ever wear them again on a long run. If you start to noticed this irritation on the side of your ankles from the stiff collar, don't make my mistake and assume it won't get worse - not a fun experience to deal with when deep in a trail run.

A Snug Fit At Best
This pair of foam shoes has a snug fit and seems to throw off my balance when standing. They are new, so I hope they will break in to become more comfortable like many of my other New Balance products. I do like the way they look!
