FF X Hierro v9 in Dark Juniper Black & Dried Apricot / Size 12 - 4E. Have been wearing the Hierro's for my daily trail run for over 5 years. Every morning & I mean every morning I do 3 1/2 miles at my local mountain with my dogs, and I have been through the paces with each iteration of the Hierro. Gotta say I love a bunch of things about this new iteration which I believe should be keepers. 1st the reinforced gusseted tongue is a massive improvement, keeping the upper in place to prevent shifting. Also love the return to the more aggressive Vibram lug-style soles, this too is a massive upgrade! The last iteration were more peg like and did not hold up. Finally the toe-protect is much improved with a more dynamic crown that is far superior to the last few iterations as well. My only critique would returning to a slightly less aggressive midsole, I prefer being more connected during my trail running. Overall super satisfied with the constant evolution of the Hierro Trail Runners! They never disappoint!
