I wanted to live this show because it fit so well out of the box, but once I started to rub in it, it was terrible. There is zero ground feel. You sit up on the sole of the shoe much like a platform. Not for any technical trails what so ever

These have been pretty comfortable if not a little tight. I had hoped they would loosed up just a little but in the three weeks it doesn't seem like they have. This is compared to wide Altras and wide Topos. (These NB's are also wide.)
I’m a 54-year-old PE teacher who’s on my feet all day and still playing AFL Masters, so comfort and durability matter. The New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro v9 has been outstanding — cushioned enough for recovery walks and long days at school, but still stable and grippy on uneven ground. They feel supportive without being heavy, and my legs honestly feel fresher after wearing them. Great shoe for anyone who wants comfort, support, and confidence to keep moving as they get older.

I’ve always stuck with New Balance 2002R (I own 7 pairs at the moment), but the Fresh Foam X Hierro v9 is on another level. The support is spot on, especially with my orthotics, making it perfect for training sessions. The UV colouring is a standout feature too, and it’s officially taken over as my go-to gym shoe.

fantastic walking and hiking shoe. Use it all types of terrain with no issue. Built to last and provides cushion and comfort to my flat feet.

Size 9 4E Hierros have been my favorite running shoes for many years The V9, however, was too narrow, my right foot didn't quite align with the footbed and was pinched at the inside arch even without the insert. Other 4E NB running shoes seem to fit fine. The Hierro"s are awesome and I wish I had a pair that fit. Have been very grateful over the years that NB has stuck with the extra wides.

This is my favorite shoe. I have the Gore version for the winter and the non-Gore for the summer. The grip is awesome for my 2-3 times a week trail runs.

These are the most comfortable longest lasting shoes I’ve ever owned. Highly recommend recommended to anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.

This shoes has a lot of cushion for heel and foot support.

Purchased these for an upcoming vacation after doing some research. The tread layer at the bottom started coming unglued during the first hour of walking. I had to purchase another pair shoes during my trip.

The shoes are really comfortable. All the information i had before (from reddit and runrepeat) is absolutely true. Nice to have an amazing experience of mounting hiking with NB. Thanks.

I don't have many miles on them yet, but so far they have been excellent on fairly technical trails with a lot of slippery conditions. They are very comfortable, roomy where they need to be and snug where they should be.

Have always been a New Balance fan and bought these under the advice of my AI friend LOL...well, AI certainly knew what it was talking about....went hiking wearing these over Great Smoky Mountain National Park and also at the caves at Mammoth caves national park and a few other state parks....these shoes provided excellent stability and traction while not weighing as much as regular hiking boots.
