great shoes. This is the third pair I have purchased, but I noticed my foot hurts some when I play with these vs. the other pair of New Balance that I have (806?).

I have worn the shoes a couple of times and seem to like them.

After suffering a fractured fibula I turned to high tops and/or mids to offer better ankle support. I purchased Coco Gauff’s CG2-great support, excellent traction and very comfortable. Once my ankle was completely healed, I opted to go with the FuelCell 996v6, a true pickleball shoe. The shoe is comfortable but the traction and responsiveness are of a lower quality than the CG2. I will be returning to thw CG2 for my next pickleball shoe.

Bought these for the family as we started Pickling & tennis and have been very pleased

Previous reviews mentioned sizing issues; a bit tight but lacing solved that. Feel of shoe is a bit different than what i am accustomed to but not noticeable while playing pickleball.

I bought these shoes a few weeks ago because I loved my 696v6 so much but On the first day I twisted my ankle doing dinking drills. For some reason these shoes feel like I'm wearing platform shoes. I have tried to break them in the past few weeks but they are very painful. They are much narrower and after playing Pickleball for 15 mins my feet felt swollen and hurt. They are beautiful shoes but extremely uncomfortable.

I’ve had many versions of the 996 and the new version seems to have a slightly different design and is way too stiff and narrow! Bring back the original design.

I wear new balance shoes for walking and running, but they do not provide the support that this shoe does. When I first put them on I was surprised at how they supported not only my feet, but my arch also. I bought them to play pickleball, but I have not started class yet. So I can not speak on traction, etc. Anyway, I decided to wear them around the house. They are comfortable

I have found New Balance are some of the most comfortable athletic shoes for my feet. These are no exception although they are a little wide in the toes. Will see how well they hold up since I play pickleball 5 times a week and my last pair, which were Munzuno only lasted 5 months!

Comfortable than other shoes I tried so far because of it’s arch support and wide option but I wish there’s more option for more high arch also something breathable. Feet feel sweaty inside.

The newest v6 is very different from the v5. What used to fit my wide feet no longer does. The changed the pattern of the rubber around the front of the shoe, so it’s more limiting than it was it the v5. As far as I can tell there is no difference between the pickleball and tennis versions of the 996v6. The older v5 pickleball shoe had a pickleball design on the heel and a completely different structural pattern between mesh nd rubber on the entire front half of the shoe.

I have been buying these shoes for years. Clearly something has changed in the design. They are horribly uncomfortable and the wide doesn’t fit like wide shoes of the past. I always load up on shoes when I find them in my size, width so now I’m stuck with shoes I can’t even wear.

I had the 996v5 wide that fit perfectly with my insoles for my flat feet so I decided to to get the exact same model and size wide but they were 996v6. They were nothing like the v5. Wides were not wide. I thought I just needed to break them in so they would fit like a glove like the v5 but they just got worse after 3 daysof pickleball. My feet hurt and knees hurt. I’m not sure what I will do now. My v5’s are worn out. So disappointing!

Secures my foot in place while playing which is important to me because I tend to bruise my toenails with the lateral movements. Glad New Balance updated the stock photo for this shoe because it was the men's colorway for a while. I also, I wish that womens colors were also mens colors just like Brooks shoes. I prefer mens colorways but cannot get them due to my smaller size.

I have a bad foot and need stable, well balanced sneaks. These were really great for pickleball.
