Design Manufacturing Flaw

I purchased these sneakers which felt great for a week then they began rubbing the top of my foot due to the strip of material from the lower two shoelace eyelets nearest the toe. Dick's would not allow a return as I had worn them outside the store. Well how else does one walk 3-4 miles daily to determine if they are comfortable. Otherwise the fitis great as is the cushioning but I still can wear them comfortably unless I put a pad held in place by bandaids over the area where rubs raw.

Good as a overall day running but everyday is not comfortable the tongue of the shoe is where issues besides that it good.
