Black/silver/white Streaker

The shoe is very comfortable but runs a half size small. Nice looking shoe too.

An Absolute Pleasure To Wear All Day Long!

The FuelCell Rebel v5 is fantastic. My wide feel love the room fit in the toe-box of the WIDE version. I did have to size up from my normal 13, to a 14, as the length is a touch shorter than other shoes. But once I received my 14 WIDE shoes, I'm loving them. The super soft mid-soles (11.5 HA according to RunRepeat.com) are an absolute pleasure. The rockers are just right, and they're much better than my previous Novablast 5 (which always felt like I was falling forward). New Balance: keep up the great work on these fabulous SUPER SOFT mid-soles, roomy toe-box, and thin, breathable uppers.

Super Like Them!

Rebel V5 - Light, Snappy, And Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My initial thoughts are that the rebel v5 is a great daily trainer, and also provides good utility for shorter speed work sessions. The fit is comfortable out of the box, the shoe has some snap, and is light and responsive. I appreciate some of the subtle upgrades from the Rebel v4, that I also think was a good daily shoe.

Foot Bed Is Narrow Beneath The Insole Buyer Beware

The show may fit wide but that is deceiving in how it actually feels. The foot bed is actually narrow when you pull out the insole. It's about half an inch narrower in the foot bed. The portion where your foot actually rests on and absorbs impact. Let me explain. The foam sole may be just as wide as a 1080 but the actual foot bed is narrower beneath the insole. Look at the photos for reference. Because of this your foots arch to heal area rests on the outer edge of the foam which is not optimized for comfort. It's stiff here. It's where the upper meets the outersole on its edge. Your arch literally rests on the edge because the foot bed isn't wide enough. This creates a hotspot where the foam doesn't perform the same as the rest of the foot. The rest of the shoe is fantastic. 10/10. But this arch problem makes it unbearable. The platform of the actual foot bed is half an inch too narrow even tho the shoe fits decently wide. This is a huge design flaw. The show also runs exactly half a size too small so you have to size up half a size. The 2e isn't actually wider. It just has more fabric in the upper. I've tried a full size up and the shoe is way to big but still has the problem in the arch
