as far as marathon race shoes go these are not alphaflys or metaspeed sky or even adios pros and as long as you know that, you'll be great. these are super stable, they've got very good (not amazing) energy return, the upper is very comfortable (compared to other race shoes) and i'd personally put it more in the camp of super trainers. as far as super trainers go, this is a great super trainer - suprisingly stable and smooth.

Overall, seems like it would be a great shoe. However, the fit seems to be about a 1/2 size small. The right shoe on my pair specifically rubbed my ankle raw after only 3 miles while wearing long socks. Wish I could exchange for a bigger size.
