New Balance Men's Ohtani 1 Turf Baseball Shoes

About This Item

Shohei Ohtani is a true, once-in-a-lifetime talent. His world-class skill on the mound, at the plate, and on the bases is a combination that’s practically unheard of, and it demands a shoe built to perform anywhere on the field, regardless of position. The Ohtani 1 is that shoe, and it’s set to rewrite the definition of on-field performance. A molded CPU upper is designed for superior durability through the high wear of pitching’s repeated toe dragging motions. The sole unit features a full-length FuelCell midsole and a nubbed outsole designed to provide superior traction on artificial surfaces.

Design:

  • Creation informed by Shohei Ohtani’s biometric data and design insight
  • Lightweight, synthetic mesh underlays with metallic ‘N’ logo

In-Shoe Comfort:

  • Full-length FuelCell foam delivers a propulsive feel to help drive you forward

Durability & Traction:

  • Durable CPU Upper and Raised triangular pattern provides structure and flexibility, while providing superior durability in high-wear areas

Ouch

TOO TIGTH AROUND THE TOES. THE CUT AROUND THE ANKLES IS VERY SHALLOW WITH LITTLE SUPPORT.

Runs Very Narrow | Disappointing Fit

I usually wear 8.5 Wide in New Balance, but this model runs unusually tight across the midfoot and toe box. I’ve worn New Balance for years because of their consistent wide sizing, but these shoes are much narrower than expected. Really disappointed that New Balance, the ultimate runner’s brand, couldn’t deliver a true “Wide” fit.
