Heel/achilles Pain

Heel and Achilles tendon pain is still an issue. I have plantar fasciitis issues and these shoes were highly recommended. I’ve tried heel lock lacing and heel inserts with them as well, they’re comfortable enough but at the end of a 12 hour shift I am SO ACHY still. Unfortunately can’t return them unless in new condition and I have worn them a few times so I’m stuck with them.

Narrow

As cushioned as this shoe is, I had to return them because despite me ordering it in wide. It was narrow in the toes.

Smaller And A Bit More Narrow Than Former Versions

I have worn 1080s for a few years now. I need lower drop shoes for forefoot pain and my second toe is a little longer than my big toe. I ran a couple times in these for shorter miles and they were “ok.”I thought I needed to break them in a little. I wore them on a longer run and it was clear that these were too small. I wore my same Balega socks and bought my normal size, but these seem smaller in length. The shoe overall feels a little more narrow as well. These definitely feel a bit lighter on the foot compared to the v14. They feel a bit more streamlined and not as heavy or awkward. I also think these are a little more responsive on road runs than previous versions. I really need a 6mm heel drop, not higher as so many brands have big heel stacks now, so I tried a half size bigger. These do seem to work better for me. If you avoided 1080s because they felt a little heavy, give the new version a try if you have a more narrow foot.
