I purchased the black women's wide New Balance Ellipse. I've been wearing New Balance shoes for 30 years, different models throughout..by far these are the best I've had. They are so comfortable, every step you feel the cushioning comfort, not to squishy just perfect. They have stability and definitely style. New Balance you have done great with these ones. Just wish they came with the option of wide in all the colours. But I'm one very happy customer 😊😊

Nothing against the shoe in general, and I have a more limited choice as I have a narrow foot. It fit well but I personally do not like the giant foam sole..I like more stability, more road feel, less cushion, as I’m using them mostly on rocky trails and country roads. Nice colors, good fit, just too much “fresh foam”.

I wasn’t expecting much because I assumed that, being a more affordable option compared to the 1080s — which are one of New Balance’s most iconic and popular everyday trainers — they would feel much heavier. Of course, I expected them to be cushioned, but I didn’t expect them to feel so lightweight within the shoe’s structure, especially considering how robust they look. They felt incredibly comfortable from the very beginning. I truly think they are an everyday trainer in every sense of the word. I sometimes struggle adapting to new shoes — for example, it actually took me a bit longer to adapt to the new 1080s v15 — but with these, it was honestly love at first run. I’ve found them absolutely amazing. They’re actually the shoes I’m using the most right now. Additionally, I think New Balance did an incredible job with the aesthetics of the shoe. I feel like it really responds to the growing intersection between running and fashion, which makes it much easier for the shoe to naturally transition into the lifestyle space as well.
