Not At All For Me! Where Is The Ankle Padding?

I have been wearing NB 1080 for years and this is the first ever pair that has hurt my ankles. It seems as if there is much less padding around the ankle. Additionally, the tongue is much shorter than prior editions. I would like to know if this is the new style of the 1080"s or did I get a lemon pair.

Great For Long Runs

Comfortable run with much more cushioning than the 880 or 860, as expected. Roomy toe box and great fit for my usual NB wide fit. Overall really like them for long runs. They are on the heavy side, which is the trade off, I suppose. Not very springy.
