I love the look of these shoes. They're very comfortable, and the grip and tread worked perfectly in Moab on some casual walks/hikes. I am admittedly not a serious trail runner, so my review is based on occasional outdoorsy pursuits and also for the LOOK. I find New Balances fit me true to size- I'm a 7.5 and fit in a 7.5. I have feet that are just shy of being wide, and these are comfortable. I found the fabric to be comfortable and flexible, and the toe protection is good on rocky trails.

Very disappointed in the changes from the Fresh Foam More X that was merged into the Hierro X. Last too narrow under medial post causing pronation. I would not recommend.

Tough For Work
As a childcare educator it's essential my feet are comfortable all day. v9 has the right amount of cushioning, sole grip and tough toes which means I can keep up with kids running through sandpits, sloshing through mud and skipping on concrete.
