New Sole Too Thick And Tall.

The new thicker soles are too soft and squishy to feel stable. I loved the last version of these and now wish I had bought a second pair when I had the chance. The last version was also fresh foam but not nearly as tall. They were stable and a champ in all conditions from hard trail to mud to sand. I sadly had to return this new version and am still on the search for a quality replacement.

Changed From Original Too Much

I've been purchasing these shoes for 3 years now and every version gets worse for me, and now this version is so different its terrible. It now seems to have a much higher sole, which makes feeling the terrain terrible. It no longer has minimal heel left and rock. It rocks you forward, instead of being relatively flat. It is now like all other running shoes. Which give me pain in heel and lower back.

Perfect For Trail Running

I first ordered these shoes in Women's 8.5 2E. They ran a bit narrow and short (my normal size is 8.5 2E). So I ordered the 9 and 9.5; still too narrow and the 9 was still a bit short. Next I ordered Men's size 7.5 4E. Perfect. The sole is perfect for hiking and trail running. I might just buy two pairs so that when one pair wears out I'll have an extra.
