Great, But Too Soft Under The Toe Area

I wanted to love these more. I have a wide foot and bunions. They are super comfy and did great on a trail run, but they are super soft under the toe area, so I was toeing off my big toe. I tried an orthotic, but then made it tighter. I did not return them and will use them on short walks instead.

This shoe has so many awesome features -- round toe, lots of resilient cushion, great lugs, happy outdoor colors. BUT, the rocker part ruins everything! Your heel doesn't even touch the ground, then it feels like the middle of your foot is up on a big lump, then the front curves up abruptly so your toes don't have any contact either! Too weird, and an unnatural way to walk - even if you walk fast like I do. If this shoe was made with a good ol' flat heel & not curved up so much at the toes I would've bought 2 pairs.

It is not that I dislike these shoes that much. I am sorely disappointed in the fact that NB decided to discontinue making the Fresh Foam x More Trail v3. The X More Trail v3 I purchased in wide, and it had such stability and non slip. I am 67 and I walk on trails that are natural, some rocks. That shoe saved me many a fall. I still have a worn out pair that I am babying along as long as I can. So come on New Balance. Bring back the X More Trail v3. I did purchase the shoe Fresh Foam Hierro V9, but it is not nearly the shoe. Thus the 3 rating.
