From Daily Life To Road Runs—my Perfect Shoe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had these sneakers for three months now and I absolutely love them! They’re ultra-soft and comfortable. Even though they look a bit bulky, they’re actually very lightweight, and I literally feel like I’m walking on a cloud. I wear them every day now, not only for my runs on the road but also in my daily life! They’re like real slippers, in a super versatile color (I have the Angora with Earth Shadow and Sea Salt). You can really feel how the sole absorbs the impact with every stride. My feet are fairly wide at the front with a very high arch, and I usually struggle a lot to find comfortable shoes for me—especially in women’s models. These are by far among the best road running shoes I’ve owned, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Comfy And Durable And Cute

These have the comfortability of Hokas (which I loved the feel of), AND the durability of Brooks (which lasted me forever). I also love that New Balance offers more than just basic neutral colors for the wide versions, because other shoe brands mostly only have black/white colors as their wide options.

Excellent For Walking The Camino

Bought these shoes two weeks before leaving to walk The Camino, Northern Route. Best decision ever. I did need to add orthotics for my exceedingly high arch, but after walking 200 miles I had ZERO complaints with these shoes. Between these and trekking poles, it's a tie for who is the GOAT.

Does Not Live Up To The Hype

Check Reddit reviews y'all, not paid reviewers - this shoe does NOT live up to the hype. (I have never encountered someone IRL who actually prefers this model to the V4...) I put +700 miles on pairs of Rebel V4s which I love, but the V5 sadly takes several bounds in the wrong direction. The V5 feels pleasantly cushy when you first slip it on, but the fun stops there. For me, it's arch cramps, every. single. time. I have never had this issue in other shoes, V4s, plated, etc. Changes to the stack height and foam composition is also causing folks to complain about a less stable ride, and in my experience, a less responsive shoe. The tongue is also weirdly thick to the point where you can feel the fabric on the top of your foot creasing with each step?! NB, I'm hitting up your factory outlet for all the V4s I can grab and then I'll need to look elsewhere for my daily trainer :'(
