I Love This Shoe

First time wearing carbons and I love this shoe. These are not only a fast carbon plated shoe but are so so comfortable. Wore them for a half and a 10k and walked away feeling like I ran in a faster daily trainer. Love this shoe. I am typically a 9 in running shoe and wear a 9.5 in all new balance so would size half a size up.

Runs Narrow

The colorway options for these shoes do run quite bright, but it helps that they're cute! Will say though that this shoe runs quite narrow, I normally wear a Size 7.5 and I sized up to an 8 Standard, but after my race I ended up with a blister on my left foot. If allowed, I definitely do plan on exchanging for an 8 Wide.

ABSOLUTE INSANE EXPERIENCE RUNNING IN THIS SHOE!!!!! My first carbon plated performance shoe, so insanely comfortable and bouncy, I had so much fun running in this. I can't wait to race again just so I can wear this shoe.

Comfortable Speed Booster

I can't say enough good things about this shoe. It's so comfortable and the plate is flexible enough to run at everyday speeds which is very rare for a race shoe. The fit is perfect and lines up with most brands. If you are not a stable runner the narrow midsole may leave you a bit wobbly (Note: the shoe does not have a narrow fit, but the midsole is narrow so there's not a lot touching the ground). I know fit and comfort is a personal thing, but I ordered a second pair as soon as my first pair arrived. I love this shoe far more than the other current FuelCell offerings but this cost far more so that shouldn't be a surprise.

Light But Not Bouncy

I have been wearing the SC fuel cell elite for about the past five years. I found my shoe! I loved the bounce and energy. I felt when wearing these shoes. Although they were lightly unstable, the bounty ride was worth it. I recently purchased the v4 and they are comfortable and lights. They are easy to run in and I had no break in time. The only drawback I’m finding is the lack of bounce. I’m not a fan of the firmer foam. Please tell me where I can buy the previous versions. I’ve looked and can’t find any. For now I guess I’m going to have to look outside new balance, although I don’t want to.

Very Light, Very Fast Shoe

This has to be my new favorite race shoe. It is light as a feather and boy I feel so fast in them. Excited to race in them in 19 days for marathon #10!

Fast Shoe, Questionable Quality

These shoes felt great on my recent half marathon where I dropped 4 minutes to hit a PB. Unfortunately, I noticed before the race that a hole was already forming on the upper fabric. I've never had this issue before and even my other SC sneakers never wore this quickly. I only wore these SC Elite v5 on two previous runs (10 miles and 4 miles). It's a bummer that these are already visibly falling apart and makes me question the overall quality of the shoe. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for these shoes, but it's still a disappointment that this "elite" shoe isn't durable.
