It's a nice pad, but my knees still feel like they are grinding into my wooden floor.

Good But Has Some Minor Flaws
I really like the appearance of the mat with the crater/recycled material on one side and the plain black on the other. It is hard to tell if one side is intended to be the bottom or the top because they both seem to offer unique benefits, but it's best the have the recycled material side down. The black side has good grip (when it is dry) and is really comfortable. It's not a very thick mat but I don't have any issue with the cushioning. The recycled side is softer but pretty slippery. Beware, it picks up EVERY bit of dirt and dusk. I have to clean it all the time. Cleaning isn't very difficult with proper cleaning material but I wish I couldn't just brush the debris off with my hands. Doesn't happen like that. A wet cloth is required.

Solid Mat
Bought this to use as an exercise mat for when I workout at my apartment or local rec center. It does its job very well, and the cushioning is surprisingly effective despite being only 5mm thick. The mat also does a good job at gripping the floor.

1 Star.
The mat just doesn’t grip and doesn’t have enough cushion. Especially in sweaty vinyasa class - my hands just slip and slide.

High Quality, Super Comfortable, Some Slipping And Suction Noises
I recommend the mat because it is high quality and very comfortable. This makes up for the cons. I sweat and it does NOT handle this well. It becomes slippery. It also makes suction noises after rising from a lying down pose. I wonder if others in the class think the noise sounds like one of our natural body functions.
