Nike Book 2 'Spiridon' Basketball Shoes

About This Item

Book’s quiet confidence comes both from within and the work he puts in. He would prefer to let his game and the Book 2 talk for him. Armed with game-ready tech, it’s lighter and more responsive than Book’s original masterpiece. Forefoot Air Zoom gives his first step a turbo boost. Player-approved Cushlon offers coast-to-coast cushion. And a super-charged sockliner gives Book soft, responsive step-in bounce. Ball in.

Design:

  • This special edition, inspired by the classic Spiridon, takes its cues from the lifestyle staple, finishing the look with the Spiridon Swoosh logo, a mini Swoosh on the toe, and the iconic tongue webbing and upper materials
  • A midfoot webbing system offers snug, soft security for quick cuts and sudden Book-like jabs and pivots
  • The upper is made of a light, durable synthetic material that disappears on your foot

In-Shoe Comfort:

  • Air Zoom unit has been moved from the heel to the forefoot for low profile responsiveness
  • The midsole is made of the newest Cushlon foam, which gives you a plush underfoot sensation, so your feet feel fresh throughout the 4th quarter

Durability & Traction:

  • The modernized herringbone traction pattern was inspired by Book’s love for the Air Force 1, taking its cues from heritage hoops pivot circles that delivers traction and durability

Solid Hoop Shoe

The Book 2s are a very solid hoop shoe. Good grip, decent cushion (not as good as some of the Book 1s). My only major issue is the sizing is completely off. The Book 2s run EXTREMELY small. I typically wear an 11.5-12 in hoop shoes; I had to exchange mines for a 13 just for them to feel normal.

Good Books

I wear my Book 1s all the time for the past two years and they are still great. These Book 2s are more comfy out of the box and I expect to have them for a long time as well. They look great too!

Book 2 Denim Shoes Are Too Painful To Wear. How This Shoe Got Past Nike's Product Quality Testing, As Well As Nike's Selling Price, Is Shameful.

All of the reviews regarding the stiffness and uncomfortable parts of the Book 2 Must Be the Denim shoe are absolutely true. Sizing up, as Nike's shoe description recommends, does not help. And don't be fooled to thinking you'll be able to break the shoes in. The shoe's stiffness up front will be painful for anyone with a narrow foot and, you will experience heel rubbing and pop-outs. The placement of the top lacelet, and the metal used, will cut into your ankle bone when the laces are tied. The heel cushioning is also very stiff and will rub your ankle/heel skin raw. Nike missed the mark on this one...it's a very poorly designed, painful to wear, shoe.

Fraud

If you got an incentive, you gave 5 stars. If you didn't you gave 3 stars. Take that for what it's worth

Denim Colorway Is Not Comfortable.

Extremely uncomfortable in the denim colorway and they hurt the ankle a lot when you do any type of movement. Traction is average and the court feel is average as well.

Book 1s Are Better

They’re not a terrible shoe. Fairly comfortable. The book 1s are SO MUCH better though.

Awesome Shoe

Great looking shoe. Like the site says go up 1/2 a size. Looks good in shorts and jeans.

Tight

I love the look, but good grief these are stiff . They hurt your feet to walk in . I sure hope they loosen up.

Toe Box Issues

Shoe looks good. Unfortunately doesn’t fit true to size. The toe box is too small and can barely fit foot inside let alone hoop in them. I don’t think going .5 up would even help.

Worst Edition Of Bookers Yet

The most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had. The toe box is way too small. I have tried wearing these with multiple pairs of socks to stretch it out and it still hurts my foot.

Book2 Rising Review

Book2 RISING review: 3 stars because I’ve only had them for 2 days… but oh boy are these stiff! The material used to give the shoe its form does not feel friendly on the feet. -I’m hoping as they break in it becomes more forgiving, but definitely disappointed with the Rising model in comparison how the Book1s felt.

Better Than The Book 1s

These are my second pair, I first purchased the Book Flagstaff. The Spiridon is noticeably more comfortable and feels far less stiff. Just like the Book 1s, I recommend ordering a half size up for the perfect fit. I’ve received endless compliments on these shoes, and they’re incredibly versatile as you can dress them up for a sharp, polished look or dress them down for casual outings. Feel free to join the party! I wish I could buy every pair of Books, but I’d have some explaining to do to my wife!
