I purchased a leather speed rope on January 31, however, I did not like after using it two day. I took it back and purchased the Nike Fundamental Speed Rope, which I have been using and like it much better. I have never had a probem exchanging when I take it back to Dick's Sporting Goods.

The handle keeps coming unscrewed when I jump rope for a short period of time I had to superglue it to make sure it doesn’t keep coming undone!

In what universe is something “adjustable” if it requires you to cut it to change the length? Nowhere on the packaging does it suggest that you would need to do this; buyers are only informed after the fact when you open the instructions packet and it tells you that you need a wire cutter (not included, of course). Or, in my case, you need three different wire cutters and your cat’s nail clipper to cut through this thing. Continuing with the theme of blatant lying and false advertising, the instructions tell you to “use wire cutters to trim cable, LEAVING 1 TO 2 INCHES BEYOND THE BALL BEARING, but no more than will easily fit inside the handle.” You absolutely cannot leave 1 to 2 inches—more like 0.5 centimeters. The handle that you have to screw back on isn’t hollow, so it doesn’t permit you to tuck any wire into it (certainly not 2 inches worth). The cable is also very tough, so it doesn’t flexibly fold into the handle. I’m not an engineer or design specialist or whatever, but I imagine it would be more productive to have a hollow handle that you screw on so that you don’t have to cut the excess cable after you adjust. This way, you can readjust if necessary, and other people can use the jump rope. Bottom line is this: the “adjustment” is permanent and will nearly bring you to tears of frustration trying to execute. There’s nothing on the packaging to suggest you will need to cut the rope, so by the time you realize this (and realize that you can’t re-adjust to a longer length), you can no longer return the product. Smart on Nike’s end, I guess, but malevolent. Please do not spend your money on this. If you can’t find a legitimately adjustable jump rope, you can always cut up a cheaper one. Also notice how all of the positive reviews for this product “received incentive”…

Terrible actually, returning tomorrow. Cable is all twisted and will not straighten out, "Bearings" in these are not bearings at all. Don't waste your time or money with these.

This is the worst jump rope I have ever bought !! In the middle of jumping the handle falls off and goes flying . Terrible and would not suggest this to anyone

This is a very sleek, speed jump rope. Was very easy to adjust to the proper length with the included tool. The cable is coated wire so I expect it to hold up well. Very happy with the overall product.

What a pile of junk. Another reviewer hit it right on the head. This thing will squeak until it comes flying out of the handle. I make it to maybe 30-35 singles before the handle is halfway out.

I bought this jump rope not even 3 weeks ago and I just started using it this week. Today was my fifth workout and the rope snapped from the handle. Not to mention it squeaked like crazy and the top part of the handle would come loose and come off mid jump. I had to tape the screw with duck tape to keep it from flying off but today was the day it just completed snapped and I’m out of a jump rope. Good thing dicks will replace/refund it still thank you dicks sporting goods this isn’t a complaint towards the company but just the rope itself.

Rope is lightweight but flimsy. Was too long for 5 foot 6 inch athlete.
