To Dick’s Sporting Goods, I’m extremely disappointed with my recent online order. I purchased a pair of Nike basketball shoes from your website expecting brand new, unworn shoes—as clearly promised by your company and even reinforced by the thank you card placed in the box, stating you guarantee the shoes are new. Instead, I received a pair of clearly worn shoes, without the original box. This is completely unacceptable for a major retailer like Dick’s. Not only did I not get what I paid for, but now I’m being inconvenienced further by having to take time out of my schedule to return the shoes to a physical store—a problem your team created, not me. This isn’t just about a pair of sneakers. It’s about customer trust and the bare minimum standards of quality control. How does something like this even get past inspection? Why is your online team shipping used merchandise as new? I’m calling on Dick’s to do more than just “allow” me to return them. You should be taking responsibility for this error, issuing an immediate replacement, and offering some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Do better. Sincerely, A very frustrated customer
