Nike Ja 3 Basketball Shoes

|
About This Item

Every time Ja steps on the court, it's showtime. To help him elevate his game, we worked with him to make the bounciest Ja signature shoe so far. The Ja 3 is light, tough and a game-changer with full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam. “ZoomX is crazy responsive,” Ja says. “I call it that jet fuel.” We call it bad news for his defenders.

Design:

  • The lightweight, durable upper provides a canvas for Ja's unique style of play and the stability he needs to feel shifty
  • The combination of the full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam and the traction pattern helps Ja raise his game
  • Padded collar adds cushioning

In-Shoe Comfort:

  • Full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam gives Ja Nike's highest energy return. "It's that extra boost when I'm already moving fast," Ja says.
  • Foam sockliner on top of full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam has Ja feeling like he's on clouds with every move

  • Durability & Traction:

    • Ja knows the Ja 3's tuned, zoned outsole gives him an edge. "With this grip I can break defenders off any time I want," Ja says. The traction pattern features allover mini Ja logos, so he can cook his opponents and leave his stamp on the game.

    Additional Details:

    • When Ja sat down with the designers, his message was clear. "I told 'em, 'Don't be scared. Push it,'" Ja says. The result? The Ja Swoosh logo—a vertical Swoosh logo next to a graffiti-sprayed "A"—and grimy scratch marks make a groundbreaker that's ready for the bright lights.

My Son Loves Them

Great shoe! My son put them in and thought he immediately played better! Excellent fit, comfort, and styling. Excellent shoe for a ball player.

Coconut Milk

Love the shoe, I went true to size and glad that I did, I will say initially I thought I should have gone a half size up due to the shoe being tight on the forefoot area but after sometime of just walking around in them and breaking them in the shoe feels a little looser now but I do prefer my shoes to be a little tighter so for someone who likes a looser fit I would recommend a half size up. The color way is fire to me and the comfort is good to, the shoe kinda reminds me of a Kobe 8 with the way they fit and feel, I’m glad I purchased these now I’m hoping to cop the Halloween pair when they come out.

Solid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, these are comfortable. Not the most comfortable that I've worn but for the right person/player, they could be. The cushioning is pretty low profile but you absolutely notice it. I'd prefer a little more on the balls of my feet but I think a good insole could fix that. I'm also not a super light guy so that could also play a part. The lockdown is really good. I don't feel my feet moving around inside and that's a major plus. The colorway is really the most "not for me" aspect about them however. The dual colors on each foot isn't really something I'd go with in terms of design (though I appreciate the actual silhouette itself) but it adds to my earlier statement of it could work for the right person/player. Overall, a pretty solid shoe.

Lightweight, Supportive, And Built To Perform

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ja 3s fit perfectly for me. They feel snug in all the right places without being tight, and the heel lockdown makes every movement feel secure. The first thing I noticed was how light they are on the court, but they still provide plenty of support through the ankle and midfoot. The traction impressed me right away. I felt completely confident cutting, stopping, and changing direction without any slipping or instability. Design-wise, these shoes really stand out. The detailing is sharp and unique, and the two-tone color scheme looks even better in person than it does online. I was unsure about the color combo at first, but it has definitely grown on me. The materials feel premium, with a fabric that is both breathable and durable. It feels like a shoe that can handle serious play but still looks good enough to wear casually. The thing I like most is the balance of lightness and support. A lot of basketball shoes tend to sacrifice one for the other, but these manage to feel quick while still giving me a stable base and good cushioning. The upper material wraps nicely around the foot, keeping everything in place without feeling restrictive. If I could change one thing, I might add just a touch more underfoot cushioning for when I’m wearing them off the court, but that’s a minor thing. On the court, they perform incredibly well and feel dialed in from the first wear.
