My says they hurt his feet. They rub on the back of his ankle. So unfortunately he wore them 3 times. I already did ankle socks instead of the no show and they still rub.

The fabric feels durable and will last as long as the shoe fits. I really like how light the shoes are. My daughter is very small for her age so the lightweight shoes don’t hold her back. Run pretty accurately to size. They seem like they'll hold up on the playground at recess and walking back and forth to school. Not much arch support if that's important to you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Metro Tek shoes are a fun update to the classic Nike design. My daughter loves these shoes. They fit her really well, giving her feet structure and stability without being too tight, and they feel good on her feet. Even after a whole day of running around she says that they are still super comfortable. The design is minimalist with the classic Nike swoop, but if you look closer you can see lots of fun details all over the shoe that keep it looking both modern and stylish. The fabric is tough and durable and I feel better knowing that she can be as rough as she wants to with these shoes and they won't look like they are beat up disasters five minutes later. They still look decent after all day in the dirt! They are really easy to clean (which is my favorite part) and I know that they won't wear out before she grows out of them. If we had to change anything about the shoe, it would probably be the color. My girl is a girly girl and would love it if these shoes came in pink or rainbow. Either way, we love these shoes and my daughter is already asking me to buy these for her again when she grows out of them.

My son loved the look and feel, but we did notice that the size was slightly smaller in fit than anticipated. He loves that they are easy to put on, comfortable for school and sports, and black is always a good color choice. He does still insist on wearing them even though his toes are right at the front -- he's insisting that he can break them in a bit and help stretch them for the time he needs to wear them.

Also like that the soles are little wider than the main shoe to give him more stability. The thicker and grippy sole ensures that his shoes won’t slip in the upcoming rainy season. Easy for kids to put on and off with the Velcro strap. Overall a great shoe for his daily activities!

He is a pretty athletic kid, and has worn them both indoors for school and gym class, and outdoors to the playground, soccer, tag, bike riding, and riding his scooter. These have quickly become his new favorite shoes! The faux laces with elastic top make him feel like a big kid! They have held up beautifully and give him good traction. He frequently complains when shoes are too narrow in his toes but he loves the fit of these Nikes. I highly recommend them as a great everyday shoe built for movement and play!

We’ve been struggling to find a shoe that is easy and quick to put on, but actually stays put while running and kicking. These shoes fit that perfectly. He can easily get them on, even when he doesn’t feel like tying shoes. They stay on all day, including through gym class. The fit is great. His feet are a tiny bit on the wide size (slightly enough that we only notice on slim fitting shoes), but these are loose enough that he is comfortable and stay tight with the velcro closure. The material is lightweight and still durable. He’s rough on shoes, but these aren’t showing any signs of wear. I love the color because they match anything. They’re grippy, but not too sticky which makes them great for both indoor and outdoor use. As of now, there is not a thing I’d change about them. He’s happy to wear them and I’m happy they’re durable and comfortable. I might want him to tie his shoes, but if they stay on like these it’s hard to argue the point. I’d absolutely recommend and I’ll be surprised if he ruins these before he outgrows them which hasn’t happened since he started to walk.

They fit true to size and she says they feel comfortable, sturdy, and light. The fabric is breathable and the lightweight design is great for kids. I like the low profile style and while she likes the black she would prefer a more colorful option if there was one. She wears them for running, PE, and day to day activities. More color options would be great but I wouldn’t change anything else. These are a great shoe for active kids!

They look super sleek on him — I think it’s the white stripe along the bottom and the way it angles down a bit. He immediately said they were comfortable, and it showed when he started reaching for these over his other pairs. The design makes them easy to slip on and off, which is a big win for a kid who’s often in a rush. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that when he wanted them extra snug — like for basketball — he’d need help from me or his dad to get them tightened just right. Otherwise, he’d grab a different pair. Other than that small detail, these are a GREAT pair of shoes. We love them he loves them. It is a win-win all around.

These shoes got a 5 star rating from her (and me too!) for several reasons. First, they look really cool. They look sleek and athletic and match with everything. Second, the design makes them incredibly easy to put on and take off and the velcro stays in place all day through all activities. Lastly, they are SO plush like in the sole. The bottoms are soft and have a nice bounce to them. Overall I really love this shoe, but they do run just a little small and narrow for kids with wider feet. Unfortunately the tounge of the shoe is very large and that also takes up some space inside the shoe.

The velcro needs to be pretty perfectly lined up to stick well but once you figure that out, these are a great go-to pair of kids sneakers. True to size and not too narrow like some Nikes - so they don't feel tight or constricting after having them on for several hours (like a day at school). Black and white are super classic to go with most outfits and great at hiding dirt and wear well.
