Great Shoes

I bought these shoes because they match my school colors (GCU Lopes Up!) but I do love them. They are very comfortable

Depends On How You Play Basketball, Traction Is Iffy

My son has been playing basketball for about 7 years. He plays on his school team, an AAU team and now a national team. He's very familiar with basketball shoes. He's been wanting a pair of Kobe's pretty much as long as he has been playing. The Kobes he usually wants sell out in seconds and the resale value is just insane to me to play in them and ruin them. The Kobe 9's have been the first Kobe's to not really fly off the shelf. That tells me, an adult, there must be a reason why. However, my son was bound and determined to get a pair. We grabbed the purple ones about a month ago, visually they are VERY nice, the purple stands out and is eye catching. The insole does take some getting used to however a month in, he tells me they have gotten more comfortable. The traction however, has been horrible. He is a very good player and he's quick and hard on the court. He has fallen so much wearing these shoes it's nuts! To the point his Coach is yelling at him, thinking he's flopping trying to get fouls. If you are an intense basketball player, heavy on your feet, I would avoid these particular shoes. He has been wearing GT Cut 3's for quite some time and we are switching back to those.
