[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts were a bit confusing upon taking it out of the package. I didn’t know which was the front or back due to all the pockets and zippers. Once I figured it out I noticed how breathable they are. They are really thin but not see through and perfect for a jog, exercise or even hiking. The compartments do hold your phone and other things to make for an easier jog. What I do love is how it’s roomy. They aren’t super tight and is very durable. I washed them and they are still like brand new. These shorts are a bit shorter maybe mid thigh area depending how tall you are. There is several different textures on them that makes them stylish as well. Theres a flat waist band that allows for a stretchy waist and comfort. Overall, I would use these shorts strictly for hiking or running. The extra compartments confuse me way too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a big fan of the Nike ADV line and their 5” shorts in general so I thought this would be a great fit, and boy was I right. The material is light and feels great to run in. The shorts have a ton of pockets and look really good too. And best of all—they’re perfect in the rain. I ran in them during a rainstorm and the shorts didn’t get too heavy and the material held up beautifully. 10/10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Dri-Fit brief lined shorts are super comfortable. The fit is standard of most running shorts, but not overly tight. The feel is loose and flowy for any kind of workout or even just daily wear. The design is great and has plenty of pockets for all of your essentials. The fabric is lightweight and moisture wicking so that no matter how much you sweat, the shorts are able to absorb a good amount of moisture. What I like the most is the versatility of the shorts and the ability to wear them in different settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally really enjoyed the shorts I received. At first glance I was a little skeptical, but after trying them on I ended up loving them. I own a lot of shorts with a similar fit, but they usually lack good pockets. These have a middle pocket for keys that can also be zipped up, which is super convenient. I also really like the sleek design when wearing them. They honestly fit like a glove. For reference, I’m 5’9”, 160 lbs, and a size small fits perfectly. The material is very lightweight and comfortable as well. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars for design, comfort, and utility. I’m usually a pretty harsh critic when it comes to clothing, but I honestly have nothing bad to say about these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great shorts! They strike the perfect balance between support and motion. They let you do everything you need and while they offer support, aren't too confining. There's ample storage for trekking poles and anything else you might need to carry but won't make you feel loaded down like a pack-mule.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used these shorts a few times since receiving them a couple weeks ago, and if you’re someone who wants zero restriction, these are a dream! The Pros: - True Mobility: These are ridiculously lightweight and packable. On the body, they essentially vanish. Because the fabric is so flexible, you can open up for a massive, aggressive stride without any of that annoying "tugging" or resistance. - “Hold My Jacket, PLZ!”: This is super practical and simplistic, but genius! There are drawstrings on the back specifically to loop a lightweight shell through. If you’ve ever ran miles or hiked with a windbreaker tied around your waist bouncing against your legs, you’ll realize this is the feature you didn't know you needed. Since these drawstrings are on the exterior of the shorts, your jacket doesn’t rub against your skin, so no chafing! - Stays Crisp: Even when in high humidity, these don’t turn into a heavy, waterlogged mess. They stay airy from start to finish. If they do get wet, they dry super quickly! Preference Dependent Points: • Pocket Chaos: This is my biggest gripe. Nike decided on an "eight-pocket design," but in reality, it feels like they just threw mesh slots and pockets everywhere. There are three mesh stash pockets in the front, two cloth pockets on the rear hips, and two small ones in the back, and zippered small pocket. I understand what they were going for being an ACG product, but it is a lot of noise. Personally, I’d trade all eight for five meaningful pockets: two on the side, two on the back, and a utility pocket that all use the same small, lightweight zipper found on the center-back phone pocket. I want to know my gear is locked down, not just "stashed" and hoping for the best. • The Liner Situation: To each their own, but I’m not a huge fan of the built-in brief. I have my own performance underwear that I’d rather use, and having to layer over their liner feels redundant and cluttered. If you’re picky about your base layer, this is going to be your main hurdle. The Only Downside: • Fragility: Because they’re so thin and high-tech, you have to treat them with a bit of care. If you accidentally trip or snag these shorts on branches, I could see them ripping. But, that is what comes with lightweight and thin performance-wear. Conclusive Thoughts: Overall, I still give these 5 stars because the pocket situation and liner are preferences by person. Just because I preferred something different doesn’t mean others would label these as cons. As for the fragility, I don’t knock any points because durability most often comes with weight. Inherently, I can tell a lot thought, innovation, and tech went into designing these shorts, and that is what I really appreciate about Nike products. I will be looking forward to wearing these more into the spring and summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are great for what they’re intended for - primarily running. The fit of the waist is true to size. The width of the legs is standard, not too slim, not too loose. The design is pretty sweet, with my favorite feature being all of the pockets, some more functional than others. It also includes these two loops in the back where you can use to carry a towel, shirt, or whatever else might fit there. The feel of the fabric is smooth. I usually wear compression shorts when training so I did have to get used to the liner (think the kind found in swim trunks) but it wasn’t a big adjustment. I also usually go with 7 inch inseams on my workout shorts, so these 5 inch ones are really short, so be prepared for that if that’s what you’re looking for. I believe the product description mentions reflective logos, but the ones on mine are rubberized prints and do not seem to be reflective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The materials were comfortable, moisture wicking as well as breathable from sweat. I enjoyed wearing them. I would have preferred a longer length, but for some these will be A1! The Nike swoosh on the back is an awesome detail! The pockets and extra compartments are also a nice touch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are awesome! I received them just in time to do a 5k and they were so comfortable! The fabric is sweat resistant and the amount of storage I had to utilize was awesome! I was able to store my headphones an energy bar and my keys! If your looking for a comfortable short that will allow you to not have to carry a bag on your runs these are it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a big fan of Nike’s dri fit material specifically when it comes to their active wear. Although these shorts fit a little small. The stretch on the material makes it light and versatile for any workout occasion. The backside pocket is conveniently located right below the lower back, this makes putting small items back there nearly impossible to feel. The brief inner lining is a masterful touch that provides support in areas that are needed. My only gripe with the shorts would be the excessive elastic drawstrings. Overall, very comfortable and stylish!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought myself these Men's Dri-FIT ADV 5" Brief-Lined Shorts for running and I absolutely love these shorts! I was concerned at first about the 5 inch length (I have long legs) and then being too short but they honestly are the perfect length for running. I feel super free when wearing them. Super comfortable and so light, it feels like you’re running free with no restrictions. I was concerned about them being brief lined as well (historically prefer unlined shorts) but the lining was super comfortable and not restricting at all. Nylon feel to the shorts and truly most comfortable running shorts I’ve ever worn. Love the feel of them on my skin, insane comfort level on these shorts. Fabric is top notch, they couldn’t have found a softer, more comfortable fabric for these shorts. Truly my new go to for every run. The design of the shorts is classic Nike simplicity. All black with a bit of gray side pockets where you could fit a key while your running. Super convenient pockets and great drawstring (very underrated in shorts in my opinion). I really love the look and design of these shorts, they go with all my running shoe colors (have the Nike Pegasus in green and blue). I love how these shorts feel the most, it’s truly the most lightweight, comfortable pair of shorts I’ve ever owned. Wearing these vs other athletic shorts makes you realize how Kight and airy these dry fit adv shorts are. Perfect shorts for runners, and while I was nervous about the 5 inch length, it’s actually perfect and I wouldn’t go longer. I also love the simplistic design in all black and the super lightweight and comfy fabric they used. Top notch running shorts, I wouldn’t change a thing about them and would highly recommend to any fellow runner. 10/10! Definitely getting another pair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live the length of the shorts. They are breathable and easy to get around with when on walks or hikes. I also really like the design of the shorts. I love the color (black) and how the mesh on top has a slight contrast, but still matches. I really like the small details in the shorts such as the small pockets in the front and the adjustable strings in the back. What I could've done was tried a size up as the groin area is a little tight. I would like a looser fit around this area but the size I got work just fine. Overall, the shorts are great. I love the design, the color scheme, the placement of the logos, the small pockets, and the length of the shorts. The sizing could be a little bigger around, but the waistband fit and the shorts were not too tight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit is lightweight and comfortable, especially if you’re running or doing anything active. The brief liner keeps everything in place without feeling restrictive. Simple, athletic design that looks clean and easy to style. The 5” length is great for mobility, plenty of leg room. The Dri-FIT material does a good job handling sweat and staying breathable. The feel is light and moisture dries quickly. They work really well for running and high-intensity workouts. If I could change anything, I’d add a little more pocket space or security for a phone or keys. Overall, solid shorts especially if you’re a runner.
