Rated 2 out of 5 by ms326 from Too Tight on Forefoot I really wanted to like these shoes. The style, colors, and materials are great. The sole is firm and supportive. The heel locks down nicely. Unfortunately, they squeeze so tightly around my forefoot that they become painful after walking even 1/8 of a mile! I own 2 pairs of Free RN Flyknit 2018's and they are my absolute favorite Nike shoes for both short runs and general use, no problems in the forefoot area, are comfortable out of the box, and I can walk around in them all day. I hope that Nike will consider adjusting the fit of future Free's in the forefoot area. P.S. I am available for feedback/testing at Nike NYC HQ if that would help in any way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great design, poor durability Love the design of the shoe but these have been the least durable and most uncomfortable Free Runs I've ever owned. I cycle through about 1 pair of Free Runs per year and strictly wear them to lift at the gym and do some light running (1-3 miles). Since I purchased these in mid-July, the yellow pair I bought have transformed to black and the elasticized heel cage has begun separating from the sole. Really disappointed by the quality on these. Also, theres a taped seam on the medial/inside part of the shoe that rubs against the arch of my foot. I don't like it. Pick up an older model Free Run if you can find them. Nike: hook me up with a Pegasus to replace these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mm7742 from Worst Free Ever I love the 2018 version's soft but snug upper. This version might be lighter weight but all the comfort in the upper is gone. The materials are not soft and stretchy and a snug fit results in all sorts of pressure spots and rough edges.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SteffanB619558426 from Too Narrow Got gifted this for my birthday last month. I have been a long time fan of the Free's. As the sole other reviewer reported as well - they are just too narrow. It doesn't matter if you go up in size either. I tried to break them in a bit to see if that would help, but it didn't seem to. I also don't like how they've increased the tread size over time. I really like my old Free's a lot more, where the tread isn't as thick and I feel closer to the ground. Feels more natural that way. I would have kept these, but they just made my foot hurt right before the toes on the outside. Too narrow. I ended up trading these in for some Epic Reacts, which are much more comfortable so far. Wish Nike would make Free's great again though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jveatc1 from A far cry from the original This shoe has so much rubber under the heal it feels like wearing boots. Not a minimalist design. Slip on design with no tongue takes away your ability to make a custom fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by StylishOrphan09 from Very Comfortable- Bad Construction I purchased these shoes within the past 30 days and have worked to break them in, some might not thing they need it but it helps when they get molded to your foot. Overall love the free run feeling of this shoe. The fit is great but the construction is lacking. The bottom pieces have already started to separate and come apart. This is not something I would expect from a show especially since I am not hard on my shoes. This should be address as wearing these shoes for less then 30 days and they are already coming apart.
