Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around training show It's a more solid version of the Nike Free. Perfect for cross-training. Light and flexible for cardio, but sturdy enough for lifting.... unless you're doing really heavy weight you might find it a bit soft. Also versatile enough to be worn as a casual shoe without looking like you came right from the gym.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing wrong with the shoe, nothing good either (IMO!) I got this shoe after having the TR V7, and while there's nothing wrong with it, it made me realize how much I hate these new free trainers that are tongueless "booties". Nike please go back to something like the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 V1 or Free Trainer 3.0 V3. Something with a sleek profile and not this amorphous, blobby-looking 1-piece "bootie" thing they are doing with all their Free Trainers (and some non-Free trainers). It was awesome when we sometimes had the choice of 3 types of Free Trainers: 3.0, 5.0, and 7.0 too. They started going downhill since V5 and now we're at this point where it's just a blob of a shoe with some hidden Flywire. I appreciate the attempt at texture, but it's superficial and the top and side profile is no good. Hopefully someone designing these trainers reads this. If you like the looks yourself, buy them. There's nothing wrong with them. Rant over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best training shoe I had older version 5 of these, too small for me now, couldn't find a good replacement. I've been trying nearly every training shoe available in my size (12-12.5), including runners and basketball shoes. I have a wider foot, don't like shoes that are too long, need a bit of cushion but stable so I'm not sliding around in the shoe or struggling to maintain balance while I should be focusing on the exercise. This one fits perfectly at 12.5, it's firm enough but slightly more cushion than Metcon, very comfortable, light and flexible but still very stable with good grip and maintains shape well. I wasn't crazy about the plastic side supports, but when I tried the V7 model it wasn't as good a fit or as comfortable. Very much worth the effort and price, highly recommended.
