The dramatically flared heel on the LD-1000 was originally created to support long-distance runners. First released in 1977, this fan favorite returns to bring one of Nike's most famous innovations to the street.

Love the oldschool feel of it… Use it for golf with waffle outsole, it is enough a good stylish round…

Such a wonderful, classic style. If only these sneakers can transport me back to the time period!

This is a good looking shoe, but the color does not match the website; however, more importantly the sole is rigid. The comfort of the shoe is compromised.

This Nike LD-1000 is a retro running-inspired sneaker that delivers on all fronts (comfortable, looks pretty and is made with quality in mind: The suede is really supple.) Definitely see myself wearing it to our coffee dates at Starbucks, a pair of slim Chinos/track pants, secret socks and a clean T-shirt. To be fair I’m in my 40s so comfort, clean and fit matter now more than they did a few years ago. Not sure I can do them to work but it’s fair game nowadays! In terms of sizing it is possible that might need to do half a size up! Prudence preceding!

Like the style of these, a bit more unique. Takes me straight back to the 70's. So light and airy to wear

Very stylish & comfortable shoes (Soft Pearl/Black/Fauna Brown)! I totally agree with another person's review, looking top-down there are 2 rubber parts of the sole that look like 2 buck teeth, LOL!

I love the classic looks, but I needed something different from the adidas Samba that has become so common. I bought two pair of these, one pair in white with black stripes and one pair white with black stripes. I love them. I actually prefer the looks of the LD-1000 over the Cortez. But they don't just look good, they are also very comfortable to wear. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Good afternoon. Please consider the sizing methods. Nike makes smaller sizes compared to the same sizes for other brands. So, I needed to return or exchange to get the right size. Still it's kind of tight on the forefeet. I always used adidas. Not sure whether I will get back to Nike again. But my family members like Nike!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the shoe's classic appearance quite appealing. However, after wearing them for only four days, I experienced discomfort due to a lack of support. I would have preferred a longer tongue and a wider fit. As someone with a wider foot, I had to loosen the laces considerably, leaving very little to tie. The interior of the shoe felt like it had sharp points pressing into my foot during the break-in period. I also felt a poking sensation in my heels. The shoe's interior cushioning was insufficient to prevent discomfort from the outer sole. Furthermore, the spiked outer sole made it difficult to maintain balance. While I appreciated the look and styling options, the shoe did not provide adequate support, and the discomfort was unexpected, considering I spend most of my day sitting. Provide more insole support and would recommend and re wear!

I purchased these thinking they might be a comfortable golfing shoe, and they are perfect. Comfortable, breathable, and great traction. Plus they look like a traditional golf shoe. The sole is comfortable, but dense enough to stay stable when transitioning your weight. Only complaint was that the laces are way too long. I had some heat shrink aglets though and cut off about 4 1/2” of each one and they are perfect now. If you don’t need soft spikes for a golf shoe, I highly recommend these!
