Nike Men's Metcon 10 Training Shoes

About This Item

Power your cross-training potential with the Metcon 10. It optimizes stability for your heavier lifts with an ultra-strong Hyperlift plate and levels up mobility with responsive ReactX foam. With increased energy return and a lighter weight than the Metcon 9, it helps you conquer any movement your workout demands.

Design

  • Midsole rubber wrap is more tuned, lighter and less bulky than the Metcon 9
  • Open-holed engineered mesh provides breathability
  • An ultra-strong Hyperlift plate under your heel (where you need it most) optimizes stability for heavy lifts—like squats, dead lifts and cleans—without compromising the ride
  • Tough plastic heel clip provides durability for handstand push-ups
  • Combined with a sturdy heel cup and lace tuck, it allows you to focus on your form and not shifting or slipping
  • A wider toe box compared to the Metcon 9 lets your toes extend outward and helps you optimize your power through your whole foot
  • The midfoot band helps secure your foot onto the footbed when you pull on the laces

  • In-Shoe Comfort

  • An updated midsole with lightweight ReactX foam to increase energy return. It combines with flex grooves on the outsole to give you flexible, responsive cushioning when doing high-intensity exercises like box jumps and quick sprints

  • Durability & Traction

  • A tough, sticky texture strategically placed on the midfoot and toe—high wear-and-tear areas—delivers game-changing grip and durability
  • A new traction pattern provides a flat, sticky surface for lifting on even the sweatiest of surfaces

    Great Lifting Shoes

Great weightlifting shoe. They’re solid, but don’t feel super stiff. They handle 400lb+ squats with no issues.

    Great Shoe For Strength Training

I bought these a few weeks ago to use primarily in the gym during strength training - I had read good reviews of the Metcons, so I decided to give them a try. They fit well, comfortable and seem to provide good support.

Great For Functional Fitness, Olympic, And Daily Powerlifting Function.

Bought these to have a good flat base for when I'm doing squats. deadlifts, snatches, cleans through circuit training. If you do crossfit theyll be good, theres a bit of flex but pretty stiff, I think for short sprints theyre fine, dont expect to run them for mile runs. But for any type of compound movement exercise that requires a good stabilization they're great daily gym shoes and they can get you by if you don't have designated squat shoes or too lazy to wear them for non competitive purposes.

    Great Shoes For Kettlebell Training

I bought these for Kettlebell and weight workouts. I like the low stack height. Keeps my Center of gravity low and I can keep my weight back and low for swings and deadlifts. These shoes are pretty solid not spongy so you have a good stable connection to the floor. Give you good support and have good support and protection all around the sole. Great crossfit shoe. lightweight!

    Run Small

4 stars only because it runs small. I normally wear a 11.5 or 12 mens. I got a 12 and its a little snug. I thought about sending them back but didn't. Decided it would be better a little snug than a little too big. This is not my first Metcon. This is the first time a size 12 didn't fit the same. This is the downside of online shopping lol.

    He Loves Them!

I bought these for my nephew who is on a major weight-loss journey. I wanted him to have a good pair of cross-trainers that had a roomy toe box and plenty of support to use specifically for the gym, and these are the ones he picked out. His words were "these shoes are phenomenal!". He said that they're like walking on air but also give him stability for weight training and the room to move his toes. I have a backup pair for him as well.

A Great Improvement On Previous Versions

I’ve had many Metcon trainers before and am a big fan. I think these are an improvement on previous versions. They feel lighter and much more supportive. Be aware though, the extra support can make them feel a bit tight (they’re not, as length and room in the toe box is fine). I think they just hold you a bit firmer in the mid-foot area - it takes a bit of getting used to.

I Used To Love These, But I Had To Kill It (The Idea Of Wearing Metcon)

Sole is very hard. I understand that for weightlifting you need a good sole. But the Metcon have evolved to a stiff and hard sole that erases all contact with the ground. No information to your feet from the shoes. And they're hot. So, for context: I've been using Vivo Barefoot (I own two pairs) for training but each time I wish to do something more technical I switch to my old Metcon 6 that boasted a hybrid sole (hard on the heel but flexible on the toes). The new Metcon were a bad experience for me. I don't recommend for an all-round training experience, better stick to my barefoot and the occasional switch to the ol' Metcon 6.
