Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Training Shoes on the Market Wrote this view in response to seeing some negative reviews on this page, because they couldn't be further from the truth. The Metcon 4 is probably the best training shoe I have had to date - I've had a number of the Nano series from reebok, and pairs of the Metcon 2's, 3's and 4's. After absolutely loving the 3's the 4's are just a better improvement. These are essentially just a better designed version of the 3's - which is impressive considering how good the 3's already were. They hold up well in just about everything, and are by far the best Metcons I've run in as well. 5/5 hands down

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4th Generation Metcon User It's been really cool to see the evolution of the Metcon. Nike has really taken the feedback over the years and perfected the shoe. They made a lot of progress from Gen2-Gen3 but the Metcon 4 puts everything together very flexible, snug, light-weight great for cross-training purposes and I actually will take these out on a short jog or walk with the dog as well. The sole is not very padded so not the best for long distance but they are not marketed as running shoe so not a knock on it. Good for sprints, weights, kickboxing class, circuit training, HIIT, boot camp. I use them 4-5 times a week and no visible wear and tear yet (i've had them for 2-months now). I get compliments on the look of them all the time, as well. I like them so much I might have to buy another pair before the 5 comes out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMPLETE HOME RUN Finally a Metcon that I can wear and that DOESN'T feel like I am walking around on an unbendable plank. All Metcons till this model I had to get full size up in, as I just could not fit into a 12. (I am a 12 in shoes but actual foot is like 11 and 3/8). I wanted Metcon so badly I just went w the Metcon 3 and dealt with it. But- could not run in (SO loud on treadmill, no support, flat-footed plank type action). Plus that shoe made my foot look like a size 16 not kidding. The 4 is perfection. Great wider toe box. Much more support midsole toe and heel, so you can run in them like 10 mins or even 20. But still that foot-ground connection is definitely there. I got the White/Light Bone/Gum Medium Brown/Black and it is H O T and great looking. Love the way it looks on and off the foot, from all angles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Training Shoes on the Market The three negative reviews posted here before this review do not reflect my experience. I have owned and trained in Metcon 4s since they were released at the beginning of 2018. They are by far the best training shoes on the market, particularly for weight lifting and cross training. They are superior in many ways to the Metcon 3s and superior to the more expensive Metcon DSX Flyknits (both the 2017 version and the 2018 version). I strongly recommend the Metcon 4s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it This is my first shoe that I have bought just for lifting. I immediately noticed a difference between this shoe and standard sneakers. In the store I wasn’t fully convinced of the value but as soon as I got to the gym and did deadlifts I was convinced. Great for squats or any lifting while standing. I feel that my foot is stable and they feel “locked in.” They are comfortable but not cushioned like a running shoe. Definitely worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Shoe. Terrible Durability. I've had this shoe for a little under a week now putting it through 2 workouts. The first workout was great in terms of fit, functionality and comfort. The second workout however, I heard a tear as I was putting on the shoe and saw it was the tongue tearing from the inner liner. I couldn't believe that the shoes only withstood one workout before beginning to fall apart on me. Especially given that this shoe is designed for training.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 4's are super legit So, I'm not sure about some of these negatives reviews, but they must be from people that have never worn a shoe in their entire life, or that they have the highest expectations in EVERY aspect of life and live in a constant state of disappointment... I just received these yesterday as an upgrade from my 3's. They're amazing so far! They are MUCH more comfortable than the 3s (even though I thought the 3s felt great).. the 4s have more of a "comfy tennis shoe" type of feel. The inside of the shoe is more cushioned, especially in the toe box. I bought the same size as my 3s and they fit perfect, if not better than the 3s felt. I can't speak to durability as I have only put them through one workout, but if they hold up like the 3s did then they'll be just fine. Overall, fantastic first impressions! I just picked up the new color way of the white/tan with the highlighter colored heel clip and they look sick af. Def looking at other pairs.
