Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nailed it! This shoe is exactly what you’d expect it to be. Firm under foot with a slight rise provides great stability while lifting, yet moves well while running. I wouldn’t recommend for regular running or sprint trainning, but is great for workouts that have cross training and running under 800m. I also find this shoe to provide more of a “locked in” feel while rowing compared to competitors shoe’s. I have a bit of a wider foot and this provides a snug but not tight fit through the forefoot with nice room in the toe box. I do CF workouts in this shoe 5-6x per week and haven’t noticed any wear in the past 2 months. Highly recommend for CF or HIIT type workouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for all around workouts I do a lot of HIIT and water rowing combo group classes with everything from mountain-climbers, jumping jacks, squats, weights, lunges, you name it, and this shoe has been the best support all around that I could ask for. I had tried some Nike Running shoes and felt like the outside of my toe area and bridge wasn't as supportive, plus they slipped all the time. These shoes have great traction and grip really well for all the different types of workouts I do each day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Laces just won’t stay tied...what a disappointment. I’ve owned every iteration of the metcon, and while these are the most comfortable version yet for CrossFit, they have some serious problems: The laces do not stay tied. I can’t go more than 5-10 minutes without having to retie them. Obviously, this not only makes the shoe ineffective - but dangerous when doing almost all CrossFit activities. Too easy to trip over when running, doing double unders, burpees, box jump overs. Durability on these isn’t so hot if you’re using them 5-6 days a week, but that’s to be expected - CrossFit is rough on sneakers. The laces tho, that’s just lame. Seriously disappointed. Nike, you can do better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Look Nice! Fit Uncomfortably The Metcon 4 is obviously a nice looking shoe, however the shoe itself is not comfortable if wearing for workouts that aren’t just all about weight lifting. There horrible if you wear the makeup for just an everyday shoe, and for most workouts there just not comfortable. Feel like almost absolutely no support as far as for like your arch, and justness overall your foot. I️ wouldn’t recommend these to anyone! Sorry! I️ know they are what’s new! ANd the in thing, but at the end of the day, my feet hate me! And end of the day being just for workouts. Don’t wear them any other time. Will be looking for different gym shoes ASAP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for Crossfit I've been using this for a month. Seems pretty close to the same as the metcon 3 with a bit more padding and a little stiffer shoe. If you like the 3's you'll love the 4. Only complaint is the options of colors at dicks. Pretty lame colors so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid stability for a training shoe I used to squat and dead lift bare foot because my last shoes had too much cushion. These are truly flat and stable. This has changed my squat game completely and added more confidence to my lifts. They look really cool too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing stability and comfort I work out every day. So when I say these shoes have made it easier to concentrate on the exercise I have hours in them to support the statement. Whether I'm doing body weights or lifting reps I have a more stable reliable platform. They seemed expensive and I was reluctant to buy them but I was assured that if they didn't meet my expectations I could return them, no questions asked. NO WAY are these going back. I hope they last at least a year and I will be extremely satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Training Shoes on the Market Wrote this view in response to seeing some negative reviews on this page, because they couldn't be further from the truth. The Metcon 4 is probably the best training shoe I have had to date - I've had a number of the Nano series from reebok, and pairs of the Metcon 2's, 3's and 4's. After absolutely loving the 3's the 4's are just a better improvement. These are essentially just a better designed version of the 3's - which is impressive considering how good the 3's already were. They hold up well in just about everything, and are by far the best Metcons I've run in as well. 5/5 hands down
