Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Ryan Leaf of Training Shoes So much potential, but never quite made it. The main intent of this purchase was to upgrade from the original metcons I bought over two years ago. I love the all black option NIKE made available; wish they would offer in more training and running shoes. The glove-like feel of the fore and upper foot. The drawbacks of this shoe are the inability to gain traction on turf and the heel slipping out of the shoe during sled pushes. One would think after four revisions NIKE would get it right; hopefully, the fifth time is a charm. However, still not giving up on the brand, because of what the name NIKE stands for--to CONQUER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shoe purchase I've ever made. This is the best looking, most comfortable shoe I've ever purchased. I couldn't tell you how many compliments I've received on these shoes. I work out 5 days a week, including running/cardio. My heel has never slipped once. My heel has never come close to slipping out. Some of these reviews are ridiculous. One guy even claimed this shoe gave him foot odor.. Like really, my man? The shoe is the reason your feet stink? Get out of here with that. Nike hit the nail on the head with this one. It's going to be nearly impossible to improve on this shoe, as it is basically perfect. I'm about to purchase my 2nd pair in a different color immediately following this review. Great work Nike!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from heel slip is real worn nikes my entire life- from metcon 3 to frees to vapormaxes to trainers- i really wanted to like this shoe- love the look and the flyknit - but cant ignore the heel slippage - went for my normal 11.5 size, and had heel slippage, went to an 11, heel slippage- went to a 10.5 - a full size down- and aside from fact that it was tight around the entire foot, i still had heel slippage- its unwearable- im slipping out of my heel during calf stretches- i can't depend on this during any of my sessions except straight lifts - hope they fix it-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A successful example of how shoes can still surprise you! When you thought that room for innovation in shoes is limited these days, Nike came up with this pleasant surprise! The immediate feeling I got when I slipped my feet in them was that these are not like any other shoes. I think the no-toungue-design is the reason. The shoes wrap around your feet like it was tailor made for you. Plug and play and don’t look back. I don’t think the feeling at the heel is a heel slip as people are describing it, I think it simply is a different way of how the shoe grab onto your foot. I felt it but it never actually slipped. It is just different. Good different. Amazing in short runs, box jumps, squads and all around the gym. Amazing colors and for sure the shape looks so right with a lot of presence and visual stability. I wait to see how Nike will build on that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heel slips Bought my usual shoe size. Tried it on, felt great, went to take a step and my heel slipped right out. Tried tightening, different socks to no avail. Returned for a half size smaller. These were almost uncomfortably tight prior to lacing. Laced them, stood up, walked and noticed my heel sliding up and down inside the shoe, went for a quick sprinting motion and the heel slipped right out. These seem like they could be great shoes but they fit terribly on my feet in the heel area.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, but slips in the heel I own the first generation of Metcon Flyknits and really like them. So when it came to replace them (after about 18 months of heavy use), I naturally bought a pair of the 2nd Generation Metcon Flyknits. I wanted to like them, but as with so many other reviews here, my heel slipped when I walked or ran in them, creating noticeable instability. Something about the design of the heel just doesn't work with my stride. Had to return them and go with the traditional Metcons instead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too bad the heel slips :( I had been waiting to get this shoe. I loveeeee the look, the features, the comfort, etc. however, I’m afraid I cannot wear them as the heal alps completely off when training. Imthe heels don’t cup like the regular metcons. Feels like a completely different shoe. In which I liked, but I cannot trainnin a shoe your heal slips out of doing sleds, and jumping etc. I even had them checked to ensure it was the right size. So disappointed as I loveeeeeddd these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic These shoes are great. The shipping was fast and I can't be more happy. I wear an 11.5-12 in Metcon 3's so I got a 12 and they fit great. No heel slip as some reviewers say really. Also these shoes are TRAINING shoes not running shoes so do not expect to have good runs with them. They have stiff flat soles for a reason. Great on my end! Hopefully more colors will release. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
