Nike Men's Vaporfly 4 Road Running Shoes

|
About This Item

The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. Nike® trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

What’s New:

  • A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel
  • Upgraded Nike® ZoomX foam provides even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel
  • Nike® reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3, eliminating unnecessary thickness

Design:

  • Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot, reducing the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit
  • The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible
  • Reduced weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride

In-Shoe Comfort:

  • A full-length carbon fiber Flyplate provides a propulsive, racing feel
  • ZoomX foam runs heel to toe to give you a springy, bouncy feel

Durability & Traction:

  • Waffle outsole pattern with perforations saves weight and delivers multi-surface traction in various weather conditions

Additional Details:

  • Heel-to-toe drop: 6 mm

Great Shoe. Not For 200lbs+ Runners.

The Nike Vaporfly promised big energy return and speed with its full-length carbon plate and ultra-light, responsive foam. But in my case: The ride felt too stiff — it didn’t bend with my foot’s natural motion, so toe-offs felt awkward. The stack height and rocker geometry felt unforgiving on slower runs, making easy days feel all or nothing. I missed comfort — especially under the forefoot — because the shoe really prioritizes propulsion over softness. Bottom line: it’s phenomenal for racing fast, but it wasn’t the right fit for how I train day to day.

Amazing Running Sneaker

I bought these shoes a month ago and they are amazing. Really light weight

I love the comfort and the feel of the shoes but the bottoms quickly started ripping. I’m training for marathon season and the shoes might not even make it to then

Light And Loud

Very light and comfortable. I’m around 230lbs and the cushioning is very supportive. The only downside is they make a LOT of squeaking noise on the treadmill, and the recessed cavity on the sole can grab a rock or two running outside.

Great!

I have a little over 50 miles in these and they have earned a spot in my weekly rotation. I love the fit and feel. Very light, great ground-contact feel, and the most comfortable upper of any shoe I own. These are also now my favorite laces. The shoe is narrow and the length is maybe a smidge long. Probably not the best for folks with wide feet. They are of course great for speed work, hill repeats etc, but I also love them for easy runs. I agree with the collective wisdom that this probably isn't your marathon shoe. It's not particularly stable, but you do adjust to the more nimble footprint. Very glad I tried this on in store. It also looks a bit nicer than some of the older Vaporfly's.
