About This Item
The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. Nike® trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.
What’s New:
A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel
Upgraded Nike® ZoomX foam provides even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel
Nike® reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3, eliminating unnecessary thickness
Design:
Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot, reducing the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit
The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible
Reduced weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride
In-Shoe Comfort:
A full-length carbon fiber Flyplate provides a propulsive, racing feel
ZoomX foam runs heel to toe to give you a springy, bouncy feel
Durability & Traction:
Waffle outsole pattern with perforations saves weight and delivers multi-surface traction in various weather conditions
Additional Details:
Heel-to-toe drop: 6 mm

Nike Zoom 4 = Fast!
A very fast shoe! I've run in Nike shoes with plates since 22' These are my favorite. they feel stable with every stride, extra lightweight but doesn't compromise performance and great laces too!

5 K To 10k
While I am not a 5K to 10K Runner, I became interested in this shoe because it is lightweight, fast, and responsive road running shoe.....I love its breathable upper and crisp feel, making it great for walking many miles..... I also find the heel lock-down adequate but not exceptional, and the fit is best for narrow-to-average width feet..... Pros Lightweight and fast: This shoe is incredibly light and feels nimble, with a design that encourages rapid speed..... Responsive and snappy: The combination of the Zoom X foam and carbon plate provides a springy, propulsive feel....... Breathable upper: The ribbed mesh upper is highly breathable and comfortable...... Improved stability: It offers more stability than the previous Vaporfly 3...... Secure fit: The upper provides a secure lockdown, and the laces are designed to stay in place....... Ground connection: The reduced stack height and moderate rocker allow for a greater connection to the ground, which can be a plus for individuals who don't want a "sinking" feeling from the foam...... Cons Not a lot of cushioning for long distances: walks..... The lower stack height and less aggressive rocker make it less ideal for individuals who prefer a softer, more cushioned walk..... Potential heel slippage: I also found the heel lockdown to be less secure than in previous versions, especially on inclines... Narrow fit: The shoe is best suited for individuals with narrow-to-average width feet, and wide-footed individuals may need to go up a half size. for a better fit..... Durability concerns: I do question the durability of the thinner forefoot rubber, though this is often expected in a lightweight race shoe........ Less versatile: It is more specialized for speed than previous versions and is considered less versatile....... Who should purchase this shoe Runners or distance walkers looking for a lightweight and responsive shoe........ Runners or distance walkers with narrow to average-width feet....... Runners or distance walkers who prefer a better connection-to-the-ground feel over plush cushioning........ Who should skip these shoes Runners or distance walkers who prioritize maximum cushioning for long distances....... Runners or distance walkers with wide feet who may struggle with the narrow fit......

Great Show!
Great shoe. I’ve been a vaporfly user since the 2s and each version has been an improvement since the last. I really like the wide toe box.

Great Road Race Shoes
Great road racing shoe out of the box. It’s made for long distance races and meant to last a short time, not forever
