The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. Nike® trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

What’s New:

  • A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel
  • Upgraded Nike® ZoomX foam provides even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel
  • Nike® reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3, eliminating unnecessary thickness

Design:

  • Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot, reducing the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit
  • The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible
  • Reduced weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride

Best Race Day Or Speed Work Shoe

I use this shoe in my rotation for race pace and speed work. Love it for that purpose. It’s NOT an every day shoe, let’s be clear, but for the purpose it is designed for, it’s amazing. It’s light and responsive. I haven’t gone above a 15K in it yet, but it held up great for that distance.

These shoes did not disappoint. They were worth every penny I could feel the spring in my step and the control of my legs not being weighed down by heavy running shoes. The colors are bright and stylish. They stand out and get noticed.

Fastest Racing Shoe

At the Run The Rockies 10K race, I finished FIRST in my age group (50 and older) and 10th overall… thanks to the Nike VaporFly.

Greatest 1mi-10k Road Shoe Ever Made. Totally Worth The Money.

My thirteen year old son got these shoes and he absouloutly loves them. He said that they are pefect for training fast or racing.You can use them on grass but they really do not feel the same. On the road there is no better shoe to run fast in. My son thinks that Nike has taken the Vapor Fly to the next level.

It Has Pros And Cons

These shoes feel incredible when it comes to comfort and running. the one down side that really upsets me is how easily they tear. The bottom foam started ripping just after one run on a road because the bottom is just cheap foam. If I could go back in time I would get a cheaper and more durable pair.
